In 1946, the first general purpose electronic computer was developed for the United States Army's Ballistic Research Laboratory.  The computer's name was ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) and it was an enormous 30-ton machine, about the size of two 18 wheelers and contained 17,468 vacuum tubes, 7,200 crystal diodes, 1,500 relays, 70,000 resistors, 10,000 capacitors and around 5 million hand-soldered joints. It was capable of adding 5,000 calculations per second.  Now that's a big computer.

As a consultant we do not perform many of the services we offer on this website.  Our procedures are as follows.  When you (the customer) call SimpleTechGuy, we will ask you to describe the problem you are having.  If your issue is related to computers, (eg. virus removal, wireless network problems) we will come to you and fix the problem ourselves.  However, if your problem is related to any other field, (eg. home entertainment, surveillance systems, or web hosting) we have many partners who give us discount rates for referrals.  Each of our partners are licensed and insured and have been in business for years.
